Tripp Johnson Designs

Hi, I’m Tripp Johnson a designer, seasonal decorator, and proud dog dad to Flynn.

Design, for me, is more than just choosing colors and arranging furniture. It’s about telling a story through meaningful details, textures, and everyday functionality. Whether I’m curating a cozy fall porch, bringing holiday magic to a home, or working on a complete interior refresh, I always start with a spark of inspiration: maybe a wallpaper sample, a vintage find, or a fabric swatch. From there, the space begins to unfold.
My style blends classic elegance with a playful vibe. I stay curious and constantly draw from the world around me: fashion, culture, history, and everyday life. I believe that everyone’s space should feel like a reflection of their own personal history, passions, and values.

I take pride in being able to connect with people, understand their needs, and work with what’s available to bring their vision to life. I love creating environments that are not only beautiful but make everyday life better spaces that function just as well as they look.

Whether you’re looking for seasonal porch magic, hand-tied bows and wreaths, or a total home glow-up, I’m here to help you bring your space to life.
My love for design started early, sitting next to my mom on the couch watching HGTV and helping her with DIY projects around the house. Peeling wallpaper, painting walls, and making spaces feel like home. Even as a kid, I’d set up our seasonal decorations weeks before the actual holiday. Christmas was (and still is) my favorite time of year to decorate. That sense of magic, warmth, and nostalgia shaped my creative perspective.

I believe your home should be filled with pieces that reflect you not just decor off the shelf at a big-box store. I value comfort, practicality, and personal style, often leaning on high-quality secondhand finds that tell a story. I’m loyal to the products I love, from my go-to brand of sheets to the exact paintbrush I trust for every job.

Nate Berkus has long been a source of inspiration for me not just for his design work, but for how he fills homes with meaning and lives with authenticity and intention. I admire the way he and his husband, Jeremiah Brent, build both spaces and a life rooted in love and connection.

Starting Tripp Johnson Designs was more than just a business move it was the first step toward a lifelong dream. I’ve always imagined having my own HGTV show, and I believe that dream starts with doing the work that lights you up. Seasonal decorating, especially Christmas, can feel overwhelming for many people. I love stepping in and bringing peace, style, and a little flare to their homes.

Design isn’t about rules. It’s about function, emotion, and beauty all customized to the person living in the space. My job is to help you discover what you love to live with and make that space work for your life. The best rooms are the ones layered with memories, practical needs, and personal style.
